DA Student Government is run by the Executive Council, which is made up of our numerous committees. See below to meet the members of our 2022 Exec Team and see what they have in store for this year!

Senior Edward Rogers is this year’s Student Body President. In this role, he will oversee the Executive Council and ensure that the committees are working hard to represent the students. One goal Edward has as president is to “take advantage of our return to normalcy and host lots of fun, unifying community events.” This is his 3rd year on Exec.

Junior Mayah Ding is this year’s Student Organization & Leadership Development (SOLD) Committee Chair. In this role, she will help run and improve the student organizations — both academic and athletic — we have at DA. Some of Mayah’s goals as chair are to “host workshops, guest speakers, and additional resources to help students develop and improve their leadership skills.” This is her 1st year on Exec.

Seniors Aamer Husain and William Biersach are this year’s Student Academic Committee (SAC) Co-Chairs. In this role, they will provide student input on academic issues such as the current curriculum and offered courses. One of their goals as co-chairs is to “get some diversity reform done to the DA curriculum.” This is Aamer’s 1st year and William’s 2nd year on Exec.

Senior Chaz Strickland is this year’s Student Life Advisory Board (SLAB) Chair. In this role, he will work on updating and improving student life policies that cover a range of school issues. One of Chaz’s goals as chair is “to strengthen the ongoing sexual misconduct initiative.” This is his 2nd year on Exec.

Senior Glenn Green is this year’s Social Events Committee Chair. In this role, he will organize and run several of the largest school-wide social events, including the fall formal and the spring rave. One of Glenn’s goals as chair this year is to “share smiles with [his] community.” This is his 1st year on Exec.

Senior Haley Fogg is this year’s Spirit Committee Chair. In this role, she will be in charge of promoting student events — both academic and athletic — and organizing community events such as Spirit Week. One of Haley’s goal as chair is to “[increase] student attendance at all events!” This is her 1st year on Exec.

Junior Sanju Patel and Senior Mukta Dharmapurikar are this year’s Sustainability Committee Co-Chairs. In this role, they will lead the student body’s efforts to make our campus more eco-friendly. Some of their goals as co-chairs are to “create sustainability requirements for food trucks and get more people involved with the garden!” This is Sanju’s 2nd year and Mukta’s 1st year on Exec.

Junior Olivia Kohn is this year’s Treasurer. In this role, she will be in charge of managing Student Government’s budget, making sure it is effectively used. Some of Olivia’s goals as Treasurer are to “be more transparent with the student body about how the money in our budget is being spent and use any extra money to benefit the students.” This is her 1st year on Exec.
